Minerva User Group Meetings

The Minerva User Group (MUG) meets quarterly and on an as-needed basis to review computational and data usage statistics, and provide advice on operational policies and plans. All scientists and researchers who use Minerva are encouraged to participate; slides from the meetings are posted on the internal Scientific Computing Facility’s website as well as in the Minerva Weekly Update. Training Classes

Computational Scientists in the Scientific Computing Facility provide both beginning and advanced training classes on how to use Minerva effectively and efficiently. If no formal class is scheduled in a given month, they will be available for drop-in hours on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Times and location will be announced in advance in the Weekly Update and posted on the landing page of this website. Our Computational Scientists are also available appointment. Please see below for slides from recent training sessions.

  • Minerva Introduction And Basic LSF
    A broad stroke overview of how Minerva is set up; where to find things; how to submit a job.
    Slides for the Training Class
  • Advanced LSF
    Stuff just beyond the fundamentals that most should have found out by this course. Job arrays, self-scheduler, checkpoint, basic troubleshooting of common job problems.
    This class will be offered in Fall 2018.
